I have recently moved to Tallinn and opened Body of Knowledge Massage Therapy. I am writing to introduce my work as a massage therapist. If you have enjoyed massage in the past or you are simply curious I hope this may be of interest to you. Everybody can benefit from intelligent bodywork.
Integration is the unique essence of my work. After 7 years of practical experience in fusing classical and shiatsu massage I have organically developed my own style. I may, for example, incorporate Thai stretching, classical massage and hot stones into a single treatment. By combining eastern and western techniques I aim to optimize the benefits of both and provide a service which is relaxing and therapeutic. My goal is to customize each massage so that it is as unique as you are.
In 2004 I became a certified, licensed massage therapist in New York State, which has the highest education requirements in the US. I soon developed a private business focused on people in physical rehabilitation and PreNatal care. I was also employed at the Four Seasons Hotel Spa where I grew my knowledge of massage modalities through continuing education. The techniques I have studied and incorporate include: Sports/Medical, Shiatsu, Hot Stone, Reflexology and PreNatal.
After a brief consultation your massage will be customized to your specific needs. Each session is designed to bring immediate relief whenever possible. Often one massage can "work wonders". However, a long term strategy is recommended for recurring injuries or postural restrictions. Whether you seek relaxation or rehabilitation, information on anatomy and self-care will always be offered.
My specialty is working with individuals, however, I have worked with other businesses many times and look forward to offering my services to the greater community of Tallinn. If you have a group which may benefit from massage please contact me with your ideas. I have done onsite massage for offices, sports events, celebrations and openings.
