Estonian Manors 2008 |
In these choreographic short pieces created for baroque music, different eras and life stories are linked together. In each manor, rather peculiar gentlemen and ladies, counts and countesses have lived, and they have tried to emulate something that came from Europe - its architecture, lifestyle, manners, social life, games. In each manor, people with their simple wishes, unrealized dreams and broken hopes have lived, who will forever visit these places as ghosts. Powers and rulers have changed, but the stories of people have remained the same. Thus, our story shows the metaphoric characters of a count and a countess; a story of a woman who received letters from different sides of the front during the great World War will be told; you will witness the human relations of our own time and the encounter between baroque music and contemporary dance.
