Festival “IndepenDance” in Göteborg

"IndepenDance" is a festival, series of Baltic Dance performances in Göteborg in fall 2018 - celebrating 100 years of independance in Baltics.

Baltic dance meeting "IndepenDance" will take place from September 20th until December 1st 2018 at scene for contemporary dance and visual arts "3.rd floor", Göteborg. "IndepenDance" is dedicated to celebrate 100years independence of Baltic countries and is presenting contemporary dance artists from Baltics.

Estonian team is presenting the Estonian Theatre Award 2017 dance production "CONNEXT" (co-operation work of Latvian and Estonian choreographers-dancers Laura Kvelstein and Ruta-Ronja Pakalne), co-operation project with Israeli choreographers and Estonian dancers from different dance-generations "GENERATIONS" (dancers Helen Reitsnik, Olga Privis, Simo Kruusement, Dmitri Kruus, Aneta Varts, Katre Sabbal, Allar Valge, directors Stav Marin and Neta Weiner) and art-research/dance-neurosience based dance production "TRISOLDE" (Tiina Ollesk, Simo Kruusement, Renee Nõmmik, Ilkka Kosunen, Hans-Günther Lock, Giovanni Albini, Valentin Siltsenko).

People might have different views of freedom and independence - as a national concept, as an artistic expression, as a personal experience ... but Culture and Art has always played an important role in this field. A Baltic Dance Festival in Göteborg is our way to commemorate these aspirations.
