Bodily sensations in an environment of power.
No matter how we try to define power, it hypnotizes, entices, and also terrifies us. It is usually associated with politics and the art of war, but power is about being in the world as a whole and each of us individually. The effect of power on a person and the power of one person over another can be fatal. Power can elevate and advance a person, but it can also blind.
Power seems to be something external, but if you take a closer look, it is an inherent characteristic of nature – according to Hegel and Nietzsche, even the most basic nutrition means subjugating, absorbing and digesting another.
The dance performance “The power of power” was born from the desire to open up power as one of the most controversial human and social issues as a kinesthetic experience and a bodily manifest. Dance is a hidden charge – an energy that frees up opportunities to physically explore, open up and express this issue choreographically.
